Job Description

The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in a Retirement Residence provides professional nursing care to residents and, as required, will supervise the activities and provide direction to Care Workers in accordance with the College of Nurses Standard of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to residents.
• Conduct resident assessments and implement individualized care plans.
• Supervise and direct Care Workers to meet residents needs.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, families and team members.
• Ensure residents enjoy their day to the fullest.
• Engage in continuous learning and improvement of nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Certificate from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and membership in good standing.
