Mission

Reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness (DHW) / Director of Care (DOC), the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct resident care and medication administration and documenting care in compliance with regulatory and Extendicare Resident Health and Wellness standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete and ensure residents’ care assessments, service plans, and documentation are up to date and changes are communicated to the DHW/DOC for billings.
• Assist with scheduling of residents’ care conferences and participate in conferences.
• Work closely with the DHW/DOC to facilitate residents’ move‑in and transfers.
• Order and safely keep drugs and narcotics and administer them in compliance with regulatory requirements and Extendicare policies.
• Facilitate and provide resident/family education.
