Job Description
Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about health conditions, and offer advice and emotional support to patients and their families. Assess and identify patients’ needs; develop and monitor patient medical plans and treatments in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare specialists or allied health professionals in diverse settings. Perform systematic patient assessments, collect pertinent health data, and analyze information to determine nursing diagnoses, problems, and issues. Define predicted and expected outcomes and develop patient care plans with the medical team. Record vital signs, recognize and address abnormalities. Maintain and update clinical skills related to nursing practice. Employ strategies to promote patient health and a safe environment. Understand diagnostic tests and laboratory exams.
