JOB SUMMARY: Engages in the ministry of nursing care for the elderly and chronically ill residents at Broadway Lodge. Responsibilities focus upon the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care encompassing the resident’s physical, emotional, spiritual, recreational and social needs. Duties include the provision of direct nursing care, maintenance of resident care routines and direction of care aides in nursing care.
Report to the Care Team Lead or designated supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- According to facility guidelines, assesses residents to identify physical, emotional, spiritual, recreational and social needs. Gathers data for baseline assessment for periodic review of care and according to changes in resident condition. Followed by endorsement of assessments to the charge nurse.
