Responsibilities
- Provide timely and practical legal advice to meet the labor/employment legal needs of a global company.
- Provide day-to-day advice and guidance to People Team members and business leaders in Mexico and Latin America on a variety of employment topics, including hiring, performance management, employee relations, leaves of absence and accommodations, workplace safety issues, discipline and termination, compensation, benefits, and union/labor relations.
- Partner closely and collaboratively with investigative functions, providing day to day employment law advice relating to internal investigations in Mexico and Latin America.
- Oversee employment related litigation in Mexico and Latin America, including responding to attorney demand letters, effectively negotiating resolution of claims, and making recommendations to the People Team and senior management on corrective action.
