The Opportunity

The Library & Learning Commons Department seeks an incumbent to provide effective support at the reference desk to assist students, faculty, and staff in locating appropriate information resources; offers clerical and reference support to librarians and professionals.

This position is responsible for performing higher level paraprofessional functions and entry‑level professional activities. Works closely with faculty, staff, and students and must be knowledgeable about print and electronic resources as well as reference tools.

Works under the direction of the Assistant Director Public Services but is very autonomous when functioning at the service desk.

The Responsibilities

• Maintains daily library services operations and performs tasks within established guidelines and procedures in an independent manner.
