Recreation Coordinator

Position Overview

The Activity/Recreation Coordinator develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates a therapeutic recreation program of activities to meet the individual and group needs of the Personal Care Home residents and individuals waiting placement in Transitional Care. The coordinator provides operational direction to Activity/Recreation Workers and Volunteers. The incumbent exercises initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods and acts on unusual matters, consistently supporting Southern Health‑Santé Sud’s mission, vision, values and policies.

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of recent relevant experience in health care.
• Experience working with the geriatric population.
• Experience in charting and documentation procedures.
