Receiving Clerk Responsibilities
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing all incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating with carriers and internal departments to ensure the timely movement of products and materials.
I. Receiving Responsibilities
Verify Shipments: Check and verify the contents of incoming shipments against purchase orders (POs) and invoices.
Damage Control: Inspect all incoming goods for damage or discrepancies; document and report any issues (e.g., shortages, overages, damage) to the supervisor or Purchasing department.
Storage and Distribution: Assist inventory team to label, organize, and store materials in their proper warehouse locations; distribute packages and mail to the appropriate internal departments or personnel.
