Real Estate Associate (2-4 Years)

Our client, a dynamic law firm with varied practice, is looking to bring on a Junior Real Estate Lawyer to their growing team. This is an in-office position located in Toronto that has the potential to turn hybrid after some time.

The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of transactional real estate experience and a keen interest in offshoots such as commercial lending and leasing.

Responsibilities

• Leading commercial and residential real estate transactions, which included the preparation of closing agendas, management of applicable security documents, and oversight of escrow funds.
• Conducting comprehensive title searches using Teraview, identifying liens or easements, and reviewing lengthy lease abstracts to identify critical risks.
• Acting on behalf of lenders or borrowers in real estate financing transactions, drafting required security documents and negotiating title insurance policies.
