Quality Engineer

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES**:
- Read and interpret Engineering drawings and technical documentation with understanding of Electrical/mechanical parts and products.
- Lead Supplier Quality Engineering early preventive activities including drawings requirements, risk assessment and mitigation, supplier audits and qualification activities, control plan development, inspection plan, and first article review.
- Analytical and problem-solving competency to drive performance results
- Uses dashboards and metrics to drive ongoing commodity performance continuous improvement.
- Lead and address any supplier-related corrective, preventive actions, and improvement, address the true and systemic root causes, and eliminate repeats.
- Applies quality methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g. 8D, SPC, Cp/Cpk, GR&R, Design for Six Sigma, Cost of Poor Quality, Failure Mode Effect Analysis, etc.) incrementally and throughout product development and release.
