Quality Assurance Technician

Do you have a good eye for detail and work well in a team environment? The QA team measures fruit quality at various stages of plant processing and reports on the conditions in a timely manner to ensure that the product we deliver is of the highest quality. The QA team is also responsible for assisting the CFIA in performing fruit inspections for pests and collecting representative samples of cherry lots. No experience is required, but a background working with spreadsheets is considered an asset.

Duties and responsibilities

• Ensure that quality reporting is performed accurately on all samples in a timely manner.
• Take part in Health and Safety training as well as sampling training.
• Sampling fruit in the plant by block/customer & picker.
• Sampling fruit in the cooler.
• CFIA sampling (crushing fruit to inspect for insect larvae)
• Records and reports findings to QA Manager.
• Clean workstations at end of daily duty...
