JOB DESCRIPTION Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)
Duration: 3 months
Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a QA Automation Engineer – Frontend (Playwright, GCP) to design and develop frontend automation scripts using Playwright. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 banks in Canada.
Typical Day in role:
Build and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks
Execute end-to-end, regression, and smoke test suites
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (GCP Cloud Build or equivalent)
Perform cross-browser testing (Chromium, WebKit, Firefox)
Validate UI workflows and responsive design behavior
Collaborate with development and business teams
Track defects using JIRA or Azure DevOps
Support testing of cloud-native applications on GCP
Provide reporting on test execution and quality metrics
