Job Summary
The Purchasing Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the purchasing department. This position ensures timely procurement of materials, supplies, and services required by the company while maintaining accuracy, cost-efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing, requesting, and evaluating supplier quotations.
- Prepare purchase orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation and approval.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and invoices.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stocks.
- Maintain an updated list of approved suppliers and product catalogs.
