BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently seeking a Prototype Buyer to join our PowerDrive System business unit team.
Responsibilities
- Send request for quote (RFQ) package to qualified suppliers including 2D/3D models, specifications, quantity, and material requirement date (MRD).
- Review all supplier quotes and identify leverage opportunities for negotiations.
- Schedule technical review meetings for design risk components such as castings, shafts, gears, and sprockets.
- Select a supplier that is most competitive and capable of supporting the program’s requirements.
- Complete and submit the purchase requisition to start the SAP workflow purchase order approval process.
- Submit a Prototype Supplier Nomination Form for approval requests over $20,000.
- Send sourcing package to the selected supplier, including the approved purchase order, released 2D print and 3D model, specifications, and a signed Team Feasibility...
