Production Drill Operator - Contract

Job Description

De Beers Group of Companies has an exciting opportunity for a strong and committed individual to join the Mine Operations Department. The role will be based at the Gahcho Kué Mine Site in the Northwest Territories and includes vacation entitlement, benefits, and bonus opportunity. Reporting to the Drill & Blast Supervisor, the position operates on a two (2) week in / two (2) week out rotation and is responsible for the safe and effective operation of large rotary or percussion/hammer drills. This is a contract position with an end date of February 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate drill equipment according to company procedures and standards.
• Read drill pattern instructions or diagrams.
• Measure drill holes and inspect drill patterns.
• Operate a variety of drilling machines to bore blast holes to specified depths at stake positions.
