DescriptionThe Design Engineer knows how to operate the software to create/modify math models primarily, must know or be willing to learn the design criteria of our products: thickness of parts, angles of demolding, how materials react to tension, compression, elongation, etc.No need to know about measurement systems.ExperienceUtilizing 3D CAD software package, UG or CATIA or NX, to create and maintain part design dataUpdate 2D drawings as required by customer/program, Including GD&T sheets, full drawings, and gage layoutsDevelop and update product based on Engineering and Design Supervisor directionComplete environmental checks to ensure accuracy of design and eliminate interferencesComplete model check to ensure feasibility for tooling.Including but not limited to draft analysis and thickness mappingAdvanced English for daily work and interviews.
