Job summary
The Production Planner is responsible for ensuring material availability and timely release of manufacturing orders to meet shipment schedules while minimizing inventory and aging.
This role runs and analyzes MRP, executes weekly production releases, performs daily shortage analysis and follow‐up, and continuously monitors open orders to identify and close excess or aged requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Daily shortage analysis & fulfillment
- Run daily material shortage reports and identify critical shortages impacting production and shipments.
- Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, receiving, and production to expedite, re-route, or substitute materials.
- Track fulfillment actions and close shortage items in the ERP.
- MRP execution, review & analysis
- Execute/run the weekly MRP cycle in the ERP system and validate results for accuracy.
