The role works closely with the production department to identify cause codes for claims entered into the system, collaborating with Buyers, Project Procurement Managers, and Commodity Managers to understand the underlying issues and supplier responses.
It involves preparing and conducting negotiations to achieve the highest feasible savings, while also generating, documenting, and implementing cost-saving measures to support business success and ensure transparency of results.
Additionally, the role monitors and reports relevant issues to management to ensure awareness and appropriate action.
When necessary, it coordinates with in-house counsel to determine the escalation path for unresolved matters and is responsible for investigating, resolving, and pursuing recoveries on all types of claims.
