Manufacturing Engineer
A Manufacturing Engineer develops, implements and maintains methods, tools, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
They interface with Design, Test, and Reliability Engineering to create successful product launches and solve problems, sustaining products with cost reduction and yield improvements.
Essential Responsibilities
Support and implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools (SMED, one-piece flow, manufacturing cells, self-directed teams, kan-ban, 5's, etc.)
Continuously improve quality and eliminate non-value added activities.
Participate in improvements of manufacturing metrics.
Balance manufacturing lines and cells according to TAKT time.
Identify and develop projects using Six Sigma tools.
Complete documentation of the manufacturing process.
Generate, validate and implement ECRs and ECNs.
Support new product introduction and prototypes.
