Summary

/Objective

The Process Design & Development Engineer will focus on defining the manufacturing strategy during the new product development cycle, which includes anticipating risks associated with new methods and materials, establishing scalable assembly techniques, identifying critical process metrics, and ensuring Production readiness at release.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.

  • Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews of new products and tooling.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the creation of Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
  • Create Value Stream Maps based on expected manufacturing strategy.
  • Identify Key Process Indicators (KPI) and establish Control Plans to monitor performance.
  • Review initial output data to determine process capability and efficiency.
