The Principal/Teacher is responsible for the day-to-day management, administration, leadership, and supervision of Wilp Si Wilaxsinxswhl Simgigyet. The Principal/Teacher ensures the effective integration of Gitxsan culture, history and language into the education curriculum.
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
- Master of Education (Administrative Leadership)
- Bachelor of Education Degree
- Teaching Experience – minimum of 5 years, preferably in a First Nations School
- In-depth knowledge of the BC Education curriculum
- Administrative Experience – minimum of 2 years
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with budgets
- Conflict Resolution and Management
- Clear Criminal Record Check working with vulnerable populations
