Primary SEND Teaching Assistant
Overview: Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within mainstream primary schools and specialist provisions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs
* Support children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
* Implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies
* Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Promote inclusion and pupil wellbeing
* Record and monitor pupil progress
Ideal Candidate:
* Minimum 3 months' SEND or school-based experience
* Experience supporting children with additional needs is highly desirable
* Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Relevant TA or SEND qualifications desirable
