Power System Engineer (Mississauga)

Responsibilities

• Analyzing the impact of renewable generation or customer generations on the utility distribution system by Connection Impact Assessments (CIA).
• Conduct power system simulations using CYMDIST on power flows, short circuit studies, voltage stability, transient stability, fault contribution, and protection coordination.
• Validate generator application documentation and determine the impact of renewable generation under various loading conditions using CYMDIST software.
• Complete station and distribution system modelling and translate system information such as station transformer data and arrangement, feeder arrangement and conductor sizes, impedances, bus and feeder protections (relays, breakers, fuses), generator data and more with the associated software.
