Power Electronics Engineer

Darwin Space are currently hiring for a Power Electronics Engineer on behalf of a business in Madrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize switched-mode power supplies (SMPS), including high-voltage architecture, thermal performance and EMC compliance.
• Simulate and analyse power circuits, parasitic effects and power integrity using advanced tools.
• Design multilayer PCBs in Altium Designer, integrating high-voltage clearances, parasitic and planar transformers.
• Plan and execute in-house testing campaigns, including thermal pre-qualification and EMC pre-compliance.
• Select optimal components for performance, efficiency and reliability in space environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration with propulsion systems and mission requirements.
