University of Alberta, Department of Biochemistry
The Mok lab at the University of Alberta is seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher to immediately join a collaborative project investigating the sequence determinants of tau amyloid structure, specifically with respect to how tau sequences interact in complex combinations. The researcher will gain advanced expertise in experimental techniques such as high-throughput protein purification and development of biochemical platforms to probe tau aggregate structure in vitro and in mammalian cell culture. This project is interdisciplinary and the researcher will also have additional opportunities to train with team members in other techniques including mass photometry, Cryo-EM, and proteomics.
Duration of appointment: Initial one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal for up to three years.
Benefits: The University of Alberta offers a comprehensive benefits package.
