Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Polysomnographic Technologist (Sleep Technologist) performs and analyzes comprehensive night-time and day-time studies for the purpose of detecting and treating sleep disorders. The sleep tech prepares patients for monitoring, obtains and documents the patients’ history and educates the patients on sleep testing, sleep disorders, and relevant treatments. During data acquisition, the sleep tech monitors the collection of data to ensure proper quality and addresses any technical issues. The sleep tech constantly assesses and adjusts any therapy applied to the patients, attends to the patients’ needs, documents qualitative observations throughout the collection, and creates summary reports.
