- Collaborate with plants, suppliers, and logistics to ensure a seamless flow of inventory.
- Coordinate and follow-up with suppliers, operations and warehousing regarding late orders, material outages, and/or special projects.
- Manage purchase order/work order size based on service commitments, existing inventory on hand, and lead times.
- Manage lead times to drive operational efficiency and improve service.
- Manage inventory turns and safety stock parameters, minimize surplus/obsolescence, and provide consistent input into workload plans.
- Understand plant/supplier capacity, lead-time and operational plans, to ensure proper inventory is maintained.
- Collaborate with demand planning to understand the impact of forecast changes and translate demand plan into inventory needs.
- Communicate with peers and escalated to leadership team when potential supply issues arise.
