Physiotherapy Support Worker - Stroke

Overview

We are looking for an applicant to assist in the delivery of Physiotherapy to our acute stroke ward at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. The caseload is predominantly patients who have experienced a stroke with a medical component.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of physiotherapy to acute stroke patients and manage the basic medical component of care.
• Plan and carry out appropriate exercise programmes for patients.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level III in health sciences or equivalent.
• Evidence of clinical competence and skills in treating patients.
• Understanding of stroke and its impact on daily living.
• Basic IT knowledge including word processing and use of the internet.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
