About The Program
The Physical Design Engineer Apprenticeship Program is designed for graduates who aspire to build a career in physical implementation and back‑end IC design within the semiconductor industry.
Program Structure
The programme consists of 1 month of intensive technical training followed by 3 months of On-the-Job Training (OJT) with a semiconductor company.
During the training phase at ASEM, Cyberjaya, you will gain practical exposure to:
- Physical design methodologies and implementation flow
- Floorplanning and power planning concepts
- Standard cell placement and optimization
- Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS)
- Routing and physical optimization
- Static Timing Analysis (STA) and timing closure
- Physical verification and design rule checking (DRC/LVS) fundamentals
