Position: Physical Compute Engineer

The Physical Compute team delivers intelligent, fit‑for‑purpose bare‑metal infrastructure integrated seamlessly into the Roche ecosystem. The product centralizes and simplifies the delivery of Physical compute infrastructure across our global data centers, computer rooms, and small sites. We provide end‑to‑end lifecycle management—from provisioning and hardware preparation to maintenance and automated decommissioning—ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance for workloads that demand the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the entire compute hardware lifecycle—including sizing consultancy, quotation creation, purchasing, backlog tracking, and physical installation up to system connectivity, ensuring processes are efficient and optimized.
