Position Title: PhD scholarship within Environmental Radiochemistry - 26/06895

A 3‑year PhD position in Environmental Radiochemistry funded by the Norwegian Nuclear Research Centre (NNRC). The project focuses on radionuclide transport in engineered and natural environments relevant to nuclear waste management and decommissioning. The successful candidate will conduct laboratory investigations, radioanalytical measurements and numerical modelling to enhance understanding of radionuclide behaviour.

Main tasks

• Improve understanding of radionuclide transport processes in engineered and natural environments with regard to spatial and temporal evolution.
• Investigate mechanisms controlling radionuclide retention and transport in cementitious and geological materials.
