Overview
We are seeking a Full-time Pharmacy Assistant to work in a Professional and community oriented Pharmacy in Nanaimo.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacist/Owner in the preparation of prescriptions:
- Receiving prescriptions from patients: Following provincial legal/regulatory conditions, the assistant helps in assessing the prescription for completeness (Name; Address; birthday; allergies; prescription third party information; special requests; prescriber; generic/brand).
- Performing computer functions as directed by the Pharmacist: Data entry; price check; patient information entry/update; competent interpretation and processing of written prescriptions including Latin abbreviations, drug name recognition, dosage calculations; refills; report generation; patient profile checks.
