Responsibilities
- Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage.
- Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or other health care professionals.
- Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication.
- Check prescriptions for proper dosage.
- Hire and train staff.
- Maintain medication profiles of customers, including registry of poisons, narcotic, and controlled drugs.
