Pharmaceutical Technologist

Job Purpose
To support the pharmacist in preparing, dispensing, and managing medications while ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient pharmaceutical services in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Dispensing & Medication Management
Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Label medicines correctly with clear dosage and usage instructions.
Check prescriptions for completeness and legality before dispensing.
Provide basic guidance to patients on medication use as directed by the pharmacist.
Stock Control & Inventory
Monitor pharmacy stock levels and ensure adequate supply of medicines and consumables.
Receive, record, and store incoming stock properly according to guidelines (FEFO/FIFO).
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
Report near-expiry, expired, or damaged medicines promptly.
