People ops and recruitment coordinator (Toronto)

Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site People Ops and Recruitment Coordinator role for candidates based in Toronto, ON (hybrid) or New York State (hybrid) with full remote options for the right candidate. The coordinator will streamline talent acquisition efforts, onboard new team members, and manage core HR operations.

Responsibilities

• HR Operations
• Manage end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and system access provisioning through Rippling.
• Maintain employee records and ensure timely updates in all systems.
• Administer payroll for W2 employees, 1099 contractors, and international hires via Rippling.
• Respond to employee inquiries related to HR, payroll, and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
• Maintain and update HR documentation, handbooks, and internal process guidelines.
