Position Summary

:Payroll Team Lead ensures successful payroll operations, compliance, training, data analysis, controls, audits, and reporting. The Payroll Team Lead ensures adherence to established policies and procedures so that payroll is completed accurately and on time for all employees. The role is accountable for appropriate tax submissions, benefits contributions, T4 and W-2 reconciliations and serves as a backup to the Manager, Payroll. In addition, the Payroll Team Lead will take a key role in system configuration, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives, including the adoption of AI-driven tools to modernize payroll processes. 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Coach the Payroll Specialists, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the established payroll processes, procedures, and internal controls. Provide guidance to Payroll Specialists, answering queries and act as a go-to resource for them.
