This role owns the day-to-day payroll process and ensures all employees are paid accurately and on time.
The Payroll Specialist works closely with HR and Finance to maintain clean, compliant, and consistent payroll operations while supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule
- Review and validate timesheets, wages, bonuses, and deductions
- Ensure correct calculation of taxes, withholdings, and other payroll deductions
- Maintain payroll records and update employee data in payroll systems
- Partner with HR on new hires, terminations, and compensation changes
- Reconcile payroll reports and quickly resolve discrepancies
- Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve issues promptly
