To provide for and ensure a reasonably safe skiing environment. To provide on mountain first aid assistance and evacuation, skier safety, search and rescue support, trail work, lift evacuation, equipment maintenance, and other assigned duties. Each task requires a high level of decision making.
Essential Functions:
- Use prior experience as a ski patroller to mentor new staff and ensure high levels of performance for existing staff.
- Occasionally host morning meetings to ensure the team is prepared for the day.
- Identify workplace hazards and guide staff to make decisions with personal safety as a priority.
- Assist with decisions and protocols during high level emergency responses.
