Pathologist's Assistant - Temporary Part Time - MET

JOB SUMMARY

A Pathologist's Assistant (PA) is an intensively trained allied health professional who provides anatomic pathology services under the direction and supervision of a pathologist. It is expected that Pathologist's Assistant contributes to the overall efficiency of the laboratory or pathology practice in a cost effective manner. The Pathologist's Assistant works independently when performing professional duties associated with the preparation, performance, and completion of autopsies, and examination and/or preparations of the surgical pathology specimens, with general supervision of the Pathologist.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare for autopsies by obtaining patients' medical records and arranging for radiographic examinations
