Personal Support Worker (PSW)

At Extendicare, you will provide direct care to residents in accordance with policies, procedures and work routines at the Extendicare New Orchard Lodge Home in Ottawa.

Job Type: Part‑time (Days/Evenings)

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with mobility, feeding, bathing, toileting and personal grooming.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and programs.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents and families.

Requirements

• PSW certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent bending, reaching and lifting.
• Compassion, professionalism and respect.
• Read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate $27.51 – $29.12, based on skills, experience, education and alignment with responsibilities.
