Part-Time Educational Assistant - 2026 - 2027

Peace River School Division is seeking a highly motivated Part‑Time (0.90 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at E. E. Oliver Elementary School to provide targeted literacy and numeracy support to small groups of students in Grades 1‑3. The position will commence on August 27 2026 and continue to June 29 2027.

E. E. Oliver Elementary is located in the town of Fairview, 560 km northwest of Edmonton and 100 km north of Grande Prairie. The school serves students in kindergarten to grade 6.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
• Experience working directly with young children (Grades 1‑3 preferred)
• Experience and understanding of foundational literacy and numeracy concepts (e.g., phonics, phonological awareness, early number sense)
