Outreach Worker (Calgary)

Overview

Equation Staffing is actively recruiting multiple full-time, permanent Case Workers for our client’s Outreach Program located in Calgary, AB. Outreach workers support individuals experiencing addiction, mental health challenges, and homelessness and work closely with CPS, EMS, Calgary Bylaw, and Calgary Transit to provide an alternative response to public intoxication, crisis situations, and community safety concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, non-judgmental, client-centered support.
• Conduct sweeps, engage with encampments, and connect with individuals in hidden or high-risk areas.
• Use sound judgment to support clients, including in harsh weather conditions.
• Advocate for clients and collaborate with partner agencies.
• Drive agency vehicles and transport individuals as needed.
• Respond to crises and on-site distress situations.
• Complete housing assessments (e.g., NSQs).
