- Develop production schedules and duty assignments to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages
- Plan and organize daily operations
- Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines
- Direct quality control inspections
- Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of recent equipment or production techniques
