Position Overview

Reporting to the Open Pit Chief Geologist and Senior Geologist, the incumbent is responsible for participating in grade control activities related to the examination of geological data and processes, and ensuring operating guidelines are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all work performed by the team is compliant with Rainy River Health & Safety policies.
• Work in conjunction with the Senior Open Pit Geologist to achieve departmental and operational goals.
• Provide direct supervision to non-technical staff responsible for the collection of blast hole and RC drilling samples, delivery of samples to the onsite lab, demarcation of ore boundaries in the field, and all other activities as they arise.
