The Officer, Design and Construction (D&C) is responsible for coordinating and supporting internal and external capital expenditure projects, including capacity, business development, Metrolinx, and adjacent development.
Main Responsibilities
·Collaborate with internal and external partners, including municipalities, utilities, and government agencies to complete construction projects, which entails turning a level crossing into a grade separation
·Cooperate with and support the Manager D&C as well as Manager Public Works, Chief Engineer – Track and Production along with Business Development staff
·Ensure that projects are completed within established time and budget
·Subscribe to the general design principles, review engineering drawings and documents, and ensure that specifications are accurate
·Respond to emergencies, which include operational issues, derailments, and washouts
