Job Summary
This position manages multiple ocean related tasks simultaneously while understanding UPS Supply Chain Solutions and the correlation of functions as they relate to providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the main point of contact with the customer relationship through regular proactive or reactive contact.
- Resolves complaints across functional groups.
- Processes ocean shipment orders, reviews quotes/rates, audits and researches operational performance issues.
- Interfaces with external carriers and vendors to maximize service.
- Trains newly hired employees, and serves as a mentor.
- Works export/import and supports additional compliance and regulatory responsibilities.
- Solves customer complaints and development of action plans where trends exist.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year customer service experience
