NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Glasgow Stroke OT service for an occupational therapist who is keen to specialise in stroke. This team is highly motivated and supportive.
As the post holder you will provide direct clinical care with a highly complex caseload, incorporating patient assessment, treatment and discharge from care within the in‑patient Stroke service. Complex discharge planning skills are a key requirement to enable timely and safe discharges from the ward. The role also includes evaluation, audit projects, staff/students supervision, induction and providing expert advice on OT interventions.
