Occupational Therapist - Return to Work

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Hazlewood Clinic in Surrey, BC. You will create tailored rehabilitation plans and assist clients with return-to-work planning and lifestyle modifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate workers’ physical, cognitive, and psychological functions and assess job demands and workplace environment.
• Create tailored, graded return-to-work plans with measurable goals that gradually increase activity.
• Perform clinical evaluations, provide exercises, functional tasks, and cognitive strategies such as pacing and energy conservation.
• Conduct occupational health screenings to evaluate employees’ capacity to perform job duties safely.
• Identify equipment needs and make recommendations.
• Teach techniques like mindfulness, relaxation, and sleep hygiene to manage pain, fatigue, and emotional distress.
