Job Overview
Occupational Therapist—Acute Care Units, Chinook Regional Hospital, Lethbridge, Alberta.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive assessment, screening, and diagnosis of patients.
- Consultation with multidisciplinary team and discharge planning.
- Development and implementation of treatment plans focusing on occupational performance.
- Education and advocacy for patients, families, and community resources.
- Case management, referral, and transition support.
- Participation in quality improvement initiatives, peer mentoring, and supervision of students.
- Collaboration with Therapy Assistants and Therapy Aides.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
- Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
