Position Summary
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is an integral member of the Occupational Therapy service, Allied Health and clinical programs in which care is provided. Through assessment, treatment, evaluation and consultation, the OT prevents, alleviates or minimizes dysfunction, enabling clients to achieve their maximum level of functional independence and facilitating their integration into the home, community and workplace.
Duties
- Participate as a member of the interprofessional team with the purpose of assessing client needs;
- Provide assessment, program planning, treatment intervention and evaluation in the occupational performance areas of self care, productivity and leisure including cognition and community living skills;
- Collaborate with other care providers in providing patient‑centred care;
